Under-8’s-Week
Under eights week is a Queensland based annual event that has been running for over fifty years, that celebrates the first eight years of children’s lives and promotes the importance of learning through play. Early Childhood Centres and local communities throughout Queensland all get involved in Under Eights Week every year, organising play-based events and activities that enable children to learn while having lots of fun.
Play is such an effective tool for learning in the early years. This is why Under Eights Week is so important – it highlights the importance of play-based learning, and gives us all the opportunity to think of creative ways to help children enjoy learning.
Everyday activities can be moments for learning and development. At Aussie Adventures Child Care and Kindergarten, we plan activities that highlight singing, chatting, reading, exploring and outdoor play to create positive learning experiences. This will in turn ignite a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
