There is something very special about children learning alongside one another. Through our everyday play experiences, our older kindergarten children have been supporting younger children to build confidence, communication and pro-social skills through warm, positive interactions. These meaningful moments are helping children develop respectful communication, empathy, cooperation and positive relationships as they learn how to interact with others with care and confidence.

🫶🏼 Using gentle hand-over-hand modelling during experiences such as potion making, supporting younger children as they develop confidence using tools and resources while strengthening their fine motor skills, hand muscles and finger control.
🫶🏼 Building a sense of belonging and connection as children learn from one another through play-based learning, peer modelling and meaningful social interaction.
These small moments can make a big difference. As children play, talk, create and explore together, they are building the foundations for respectful relationships, emotional wellbeing, social confidence and a strong sense of belonging. Our older children are developing leadership, empathy and a wonderful sense of responsibility, while our younger children are discovering that learning can be supported by the caring hands and encouraging words of a friend.
